Rich Hill has extensive experience in the themed entertainment industry. Rich began their career as an Animatronic Artist at KX International / Kinetix Animation, where they specialized in sculpting and painting animatronic characters for various projects, including Rainforest Cafe locations and Lotte World. Rich then owned their own art studio, RH Design and Fabrication, where they provided design and fabrication services for themed attraction construction builders, working with notable companies such as Universal Studios and Walt Disney Parks.

In 1999, Hill joined Sally Corporation as an Animatronic Artist, where they focused on creating lifelike robotic human and fantasy characters. Rich was responsible for tasks such as painting silicone skins, costuming, hair punching, and fabrication of eyes and teeth. Hill later advanced to the role of Designer, where they contributed to ride concepts, layouts, production specifications, and art direction for theme park attractions and animatronics.

From 2011 to 2017, Hill served as a Senior Designer at Sally Corporation, specializing in attraction concept creation using narrative and visual storytelling. Rich played a key role in design, production, CG, animatronic, scenic, music, audio, and lighting art direction for ride project development and attraction finish. Hill subsequently took on the position of Creative Director at Sally Dark Rides in 2015, overseeing the creation of new theme park attractions. Rich managed the development of ride experiences, collaborating with a talented team of artists to bring their imaginative ideas to life.

Additionally, Hill has taken on leadership roles within the industry, serving as a Member of the Board of Directors for the Themed Entertainment Association from 2017 to 2020. Overall, Hill's work experience demonstrates their expertise in creative direction, design, art direction, and animatronics within the themed entertainment field.

Rich Hill attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh from 1992 to 1994, where they pursued a degree in Industrial Design with a focus on Animatronics and CGI Animation. In 1990, they also had a brief period of education at the St. Louis Art Museum, but no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for that time.
