VACANT

VACANT is the current Building Services Manager at Salt Lake City Corporation. VACANT has a long history of working in various managerial positions with the City of Salt Lake City, most recently as the Deputy Director of Public Services and Administrative Services Director. In these roles, VACANT was responsible for leading, directing, and supervising the Administrative Services Division of the City’s Public Services Department. This included developing policy, creating effective procedures, analyzing and assessing business and economic needs, overseeing operations and workloads, and managing staffing levels and legislative influences affecting the department. VACANT also established, monitored, and assessed the effectiveness of the department’s strategic plans, performance measures, and contract management for assigned programs. In addition to these responsibilities, VACANT provided leadership, direction, and support to all department divisions and programs relating to policy development, strategic planning, and program performance.

Prior to working for the City of Salt Lake City, VACANT was Co-Captain at Code for America from March 2013 to December 2015. Code for America is an organization created by local technologists, open government advocates and data geeks with an interest in supporting and educating government staff about new technology tools that can help open, improve and engage our local governments.

VACANT reports to Ken Anderson, Building Official. They work with Les Koch - Inspections Manager, Antonio Padilla - Civil Enforcement Manager. Stefani James - Special Projects Assistant, Daniel Walker - Office Facilitator I, and Todd Christopher - Senior Plans Examiner report to VACANT.
