Health Educator - Lead Poisoning Prevention Program at Salt Lake County

Belen Coronado is a seasoned health educator with extensive experience in public health initiatives, currently serving as the Lead Health Educator for the Lead Poisoning Prevention Program at Salt Lake County since July 2015. In this role, Belen provides home and virtual education to families with children at risk of lead poisoning and spearheaded the development of the Home Visiting Education Program curriculum. Previous positions include involvement in the Utah Cancer Control Program's BeWise initiative, focusing on lifestyle interventions for women's health, and as a Case Investigator for the COVID-19 Response Team. Belen's career also includes roles at the University of Utah as a Guest Resource Specialist and Campus Life Mentor, enhancing the experience of patients and first-year students. Belen holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and Education from the University of Utah.
