Richard Ingebretsen serves as the Associate Dean for Student Affairs at the College of Science, University of Utah since July 2013. In addition, Richard holds the position of Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center since November 2012, and has been the Medical Director for Sheriff Search and Rescue at Salt Lake County since February 2011. Richard is also the Vice Chairman of the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance and has served as a Research Physician at Salt Lake Research, PLLC since 2003. At Utah Wilderness Medicine, Richard has been the Director since 1999 and serves as President of the Board of Trustees at the Glen Canyon Institute since January 1998. Additionally, Richard has held the role of Clinical Instructor of Medicine at University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics since July 1997, while also being a Professor in both the University of Utah and the Department of Physics & Astronomy since January 1987. Richard obtained several degrees, including a BS, MS, PhD, and MD in Physics, Medicine, and Education from the University of Utah between 1978 and 1993.
