By Hanson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in turfgrass cultivation and stadium operations. Currently serving as a Turfgrass Cultivation Specialist at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, By is also recognized as the infield "mowman" for the Colorado Rockies' spring training. Since 2004, By has worked with Omni Hotels in Golf Services, performing a variety of tasks as needed. Prior experience includes a 27-year tenure as the Manager of Stadium Operations for Jefferson County Public Schools from 1977 to 2004. By holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from the University of Northern Colorado, completed from 1970 to 1976, and attended Woodstock Community High School from 1966 to 1970.

Salt River Fields at Talking Stick
Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC) partnered with the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies to build the award-winning Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, which opened in 2011 as the first Major League Baseball Spring Training facility to be built on Indian land in the nation. Salt River Fields at Talking Stick includes an 11,000-seat capacity ballpark, a total of 12 practice fields and office buildings that include Major and Minor League clubhouses, training facilities, and offices for each team.
