Krista Sijbers

Krista Sijbers has extensive work experience in the education sector. Krista is currently the Head of School at SALTO International School RISE, a position they have held since May 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Principal of SALTO International School RISE from February 2018 to May 2022.

Before joining SALTO Eindhoven, Krista worked as the Local Director at LanguageOne - global mother tongue education from June 2015 to August 2017.

Krista also has experience at SKPO Eindhoven e.o. - basisschool de Bijenkorf, where they held multiple positions. Krista served as the Head of Department & Special Education Needs Counsellor from May 2011 to April 2015. Prior to this, they worked as a Teacher, responsible for teaching children aged 5-9 years and developing the curriculum, from August 2009 to May 2011.

Krista began their teaching career at SKPO Eindhoven e.o. as a Teacher from February 2009 to August 2009.

Krista Sijbers began their education by earning a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree in Primary School Teaching from Fontys Pabo Eindhoven in 2001. Krista then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Child Psychology from Tilburg University, which they completed in 2006. Krista continued their studies at Erasmus University Rotterdam and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Educational and Developmental Psychology in 2008. In 2010 and 2011, they attended Fontys Hogeschool Eindhoven, where they earned a Master's degree in Special Education Needs (SEN). Lastly, from 2012 to 2014, Krista Sijbers attended Centrum voor nascholing Amsterdam, where they pursued a degree in Educational Leadership, specifically for Primary School Principals.
