Teja Karkhanis

Teja Karkhanis is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in biomedical engineering and product development. Currently serving as a Senior Systems Engineer at Saluda Medical since March 2020, Teja has previously held roles including Product Development Engineer at Biotex Inc, where successful leadership in the company's first CE certificate filing was achieved. Teja's background includes roles such as Mechanical Engineer Intern and Graduate Research Assistant, with notable projects including the design of a Hybrid Biosynthetic Tracheal Graft in collaboration with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Teja also has experience in research and technology transfer from an Entrepreneur-in-Training role at Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station and contributions to tracheal cartilage research at the University of Cincinnati. Educational qualifications include a Master of Engineering and a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University and the University of Cincinnati, respectively, alongside a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Maharashtra Institute of Technology.
