Johannes Bosma

Johannes Bosma's work experience includes a role as a Project Manager at Salvia BioElectronics, where they are responsible for setting up and improving the cleanroom manufacturing processes for an active implantable medical device. Johannes guides the team through the transition from a research environment to a production environment, ensuring compliance with ISO 13485 quality standards. Johannes also establishes supply chains and warehousing for the company.

Prior to their current role, Bosma worked at Spierings Orthopaedics, where they held multiple positions. As a Project Manager, they were in charge of designing medical instruments and implants for orthopaedic surgery, including packaging and technical file development under the Medical Device Directive. Johannes also developed new products and improvements for the company's product line, as well as conducted testing and research for third parties. Additionally, Bosma served as a Production Manager, responsible for organizing production within an ISO 13485 quality system, solving production problems, and implementing process improvements. Before that, they worked as a Senior Product Development Engineer and a Product Development Engineer, contributing to the design and development of medical instruments and implants.

Earlier in their career, Bosma had an internship at DEAM, where they manufactured prototypes for minimal invasive interventions and participated in the development of a steerable laparoscopic instrument. Johannes also gained experience at Lemo-Koepels Europe bv during an internship, where they manufactured components and assembled skylights, learning about mechanical constructions and production processes.

Johannes Bosma completed their education at Delft University of Technology. From 2003 to 2004, they pursued a Propedeuse degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2003 to 2007. Finally, Johannes went on to complete their Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2007 to 2010 at the same institution.
