Roman Wallinger

Roman Wallinger has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Roman started their career as an IT-Software Engineer at Sony DADC, where they worked on automation software for optical media production. Roman later became a Process IT Engineer, specializing in barcode and customized text/picture generation. In 2009, they joined eurofunk Kappacher GmbH as an IT-Software Engineer.

In 2010, Roman moved to Salzburg AG für Energie, Verkehr und Telekommunikation, where they held multiple positions over the years. Roman started as an IT Consultant/IT Project Manager and gradually took on more responsibilities. Roman became the Head of Mobility Solutions, leading infrastructure and mobility projects. Later, they became the Head of Infrastructure & Mobility Solutions and then the Head of Transportation & Smart Grid Solutions. Currently, they are the Head of IT-Security & Governance at Salzburg AG.

In addition to their corporate roles, Roman also founded Alphazone OG, an organization that offers robotics and programming workshops for kids. Roman is also an External Lecturer at Fachhochschule Salzburg - University of Applied Sciences.

In 1994, they successfully completed their Matura degree in Nachrichtentechnik/Informatik from HTBLuVA Salzburg.

From 2001 to 2005, they pursued a Diplom-Ingenieur (FH) degree in Informationstechnik und System-Management from Fachhochschule Salzburg.

Between 2003 and an unspecified end year, Roman attended Bowling Green State University to study Computer Science.

From 2004 to 2007, they pursued a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Angewandte Informatik from Paris Lodron Universität Salzburg.

Finally, between 2018 and 2020, Roman attended SMBS - University of Salzburg Business School, where they obtained a Master's degree in Training and Development (MTD).
