Cheng Hiang Weng

Cheng Hiang Weng has a diverse work experience starting with their role as a Technical Quality Control Engineer at Toray from February 2014 to May 2017. Cheng then worked as a Quality Engineer at QDOS Flexcircuits Sdn Bhd from June 2017 to March 2018, where they were responsible for managing quality issues for multiple customers and preparing failure analysis reports.

In 2018, Cheng joined Molex as a Customer Quality Engineer and later transitioned to the role of Customer Quality Senior Engineer. During this time, they led a team and worked closely with various departments to handle customer-related quality matters, perform block stock and arrange sorting at customer sites, and conduct internal audits for ISO9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016.

In 2021, Cheng moved on to Thunder Print Sdn Bhd as a Supplier Quality Senior Engineer, where they collaborated with suppliers and vendors to improve incoming material quality, set up quality expectations and inspections, and resolve quality issues related to incoming materials.

Currently, Cheng is serving as the QA Section Head at SAM Meerkat. In this role, they lead a team responsible for managing internal and external quality assurance processes, maintaining communication to drive zero defects, and verifying the effectiveness of corrective actions through process audits.

Cheng Hiang Weng completed a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Industrial Chemistry from Universiti Putra Malaysia. This educational accomplishment occurred from 2009 to 2013. Additionally, Cheng Hiang Weng obtained a certification in "Persuading Others" from LinkedIn in May 2020.
