Heather Thielemann

Heather Thielemann is the SVP for Strategic Enrollment & Innovation at Sam Houston State University. Heather has over 20 years of experience in enrollment management, and they have been with Sam Houston State University since August 2004. Prior to their current position, they served as the Dean of Enrollment Management at Blinn College from August 1996 to August 2004. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the institutional/ system-wide enrollment management program, to include all recruiting and retention efforts of Blinn College. Heather also supervised the Recruitment department, Enrollment Services department on the Brenham and Bryan campuses, and the TSI program. In their career, they have also worked as the Coordinator of Recruitment and Admissions, as well as the TSI Coordinator. Heather Thielemann is a highly experienced enrollment management professional, and they have been a valuable asset to Sam Houston State University for over 15 years.

Heather Thielemann's educational career includes a BBA from Baylor University in Marketing, a Master of Science Degree from Baylor University in Sports Management, and a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) from Sam Houston State University in Educational Leadership.

Their manager is Alisa White, President. Heather Thielemann works with Carlos Hernandez - CFO & SVP for Finance and Operations, Bobby Williams - Director of Athletics, and Jeanine Bias - Interim Chief Diversity Officer.
