Soumya Dey

Soumya Dey currently serves as Vice President and General Manager at Sam Schwartz, while also holding the position of National Director for Intelligent Transportation Systems. Prior to this role, Soumya Dey worked at the District Department of Transportation from November 2004 to September 2021, where responsibilities included serving as Associate Director and Chief Traffic Engineer, with notable accomplishments in implementing best practices, organizational transformation, and establishing a premier urban multimodal applied research program. Earlier experience includes serving as Program Manager at AECOM, managing a significant operations support contract, and as Principal Engineer at SAIC, overseeing various high-profile transportation projects. Soumya Dey holds an MBA in Strategy and Organizational Design from the University of Maryland, a Master’s in Transportation Engineering from Purdue University, and a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
