Abhiroop Singh

Abhiroop Singh has a diverse work experience in the field of PR and communications. Abhiroop started their career as a Communications and Public Relations Intern at the Indian National Congress in 2017, where they developed content for community events and built relationships with journalists and ministers. Abhiroop then worked as a Chairperson at Undeb Bangor (Bangor Students' Union) from 2018 to 2019. In 2019, they joined the Indian National Congress again as a Communications and Public Relations Assistant, leading a team for community outreach projects and managing press releases. In 2020, they worked as a Web Content Developer at Drishti IAS, where they edited and managed content production. Currently, they are the PR and Communications Head at Samajwadi Party, leading a team for the 2022 Assembly Elections, handling press releases, and working with new members of parliament and the legislative assembly.

Abhiroop Singh completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English Literature with Theatre and Performance from Bangor University, where they studied from 2017 to 2021. Following that, they pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Mass Communication from Panjab University, Chandigarh, between 2021 and 2022.

In addition to their formal education, Abhiroop Singh has obtained various certifications. Abhiroop obtained a certification in Digital Journalism from Reuters in March 2022. Prior to that, in September 2020, they completed a course titled "Terrorism and Counterterrorism: Comparing Theory and Practice" from Coursera. In June 2020, they obtained certifications for courses such as "Classical Sociological Theory" from Coursera and "Introduction to Communication Science" by the University of Amsterdam. Abhiroop Singh also completed courses in "Introduction to Psychology" and "Moral Foundations of Politics," both offered by Yale University, in June 2020.
