Laura Bent

Laura Bent is an accomplished leader currently serving as Chief Executive Officer at Samaritan House of San Mateo County since January 2023. Bent has a strong background in nonprofit management and community development, demonstrated through a decade as Founder and President of LEBC Consulting, LLC, and as President of the Board of Directors for the San Mateo Area Chamber of Commerce. Past roles include Chief Operating Officer at Samaritan House, with a focus on program management and development, and various positions at the YMCA, culminating in the role of Executive Director. Bent's educational background includes studies at SUNY Empire State College and Hunter College. Active in community service, Bent is also a member of the San Mateo Rotary Club and served on the board of Thrive Alliance.
