Lashonda Carson Lcsw

LaShonda Carson, LCSW has an extensive work experience spanning several organizations and roles. LaShonda started their career at Bank @lantec, a division of Dollar Bank, FSB, where they worked as a Personal Teller and Senior Operations Teller from September 2007 to December 2010. After that, they interned as a Foster Care Social Work Intern at The Up Center from August 2013 to April 2014. LaShonda then interned as a Medical Social Work Intern at Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters from August 2015 to April 2016. In January 2011, LaShonda became the Bridges to Success Program Director at Virginia Beach CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), a role they held until December 2022. LaShonda also worked at Kaleidoscope Counseling and Case Management as a Mental Health Assessment Clinician and Intensive In-Home Counselor from February 2017 to July 2018. LaShonda became a Small Business Owner at Paragon in July 2016, and in December 2018, they joined Crescent Counseling & Casework Services Inc. as an Intensive In-Home Counselor. In March 2019, they became the Program Director at Samaritan House VA. Most recently, in May 2021, LaShonda became an Outpatient Counselor at Crescent Counseling and Casework Services & Associates.

LaShonda Carson, LCSW, earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Old Dominion University from 2003 to 2008. LaShonda also received another Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the same university during the period of 2003 to 2005. Later, they pursued their Master's degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University, completing it from 2012 to 2016.
