Carl Petitto has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Carl started their career in 2004 as an owner and operator of Adirondack Physical & Occupational Therapy, LLC, where they provided rehabilitation services and specialized in occupational therapy and physical therapy.

In 2005, Petitto established Atlantic Billing and Coding, LLC, a medical coding and billing company, where they provided coding, billing, and healthcare compliance consultation services.

From 2008 to 2014, Petitto owned and operated Greg's Restaurant, Inc., a family-owned restaurant. During this time, they also established the Petitto's brand family tomato sauce and salad dressings.

In 2014, Petitto started their own occupational therapy practice, Carl Petitto, OT, PLLC D.B.A. Hand Therapy of Watertown, where they specialized in the treatment of acute, chronic, and post-surgical conditions of the upper extremities.

During the same year, they also founded Watertown Wellness CenterTM, LLC, where they served as the co-owner, office manager, chief operating officer, chief financial officer, and director of marketing. The center provided chiropractic, occupational therapy, lifestyle medicine, and occupational health services.

From 2009 to 2012, Petitto served as a village trustee for the Village of Gouverneur, NY, where they used their leadership and diplomacy skills to upgrade municipal infrastructure, ensure public safety, and negotiate with union bargaining units.

In 2012, Petitto established Carl Petitto, OT, PLLC, offering professional and expert occupational therapy services.

From 2014 to 2022, Petitto worked as an occupational therapist and board-certified hand therapist at Carthage Area Hospital, where they also served as the occupational therapy coordinator and chief of hand therapy.

In 2020, they became the owner and operator of Petitto's Magia Rossa (Red Magic) Pasta Sauce, focusing on establishing and developing the brand and marketing and advertising to retail locations.

Most recently, in 2022, Petitto became the Chief of Hand Therapy at Samaritan Medical Center Orthopedics at Samaritan Medical Center.

Carl Petitto, OT, CHT has a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy, Health & Human Services from Utica College of Syracuse University (1997-2000). Carl also has an associate's degree in Math & Science from Jefferson Community College, Skagit Valley Community College, and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Carl obtained additional certifications as a Lifestyle Educator from Metagenics in 2012 and as an Occupational Therapist from the New York State Licensure Board for Occupational Therapy in 2000. Carl is also a Board Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) certified by the Hand Therapy Certification Commission.
