John Green

John Green, DHA, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, CHLC, currently serves as Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Services at Samaritan Medical Center since May 2024. With extensive experience in the healthcare field, John Green previously worked as a Strategic Healthcare Workforce Management Expert Advisor at Guidepoint, providing insights for workforce planning and operational efficiency since 2020. Prior roles include Director of Nursing Operations at Glens Falls Hospital, where significant improvements in teamwork and patient outcomes in the Emergency Department were achieved, and RN Assistant Director of Nursing, where John Green developed solutions for patient throughput during the Covid-19 pandemic. A solid foundation in nursing was established with positions at UVM Medical Center and Southwestern Vermont Medical Center, complemented by a comprehensive educational background, including a Doctorate of Healthcare Administration and a Master's degree in Nursing Administration.
