Julie Bentley

Julie Bentley has had an extensive work experience in various organizations and positions. Julie began their career as the Chief Executive of The Suzy Lamplugh Trust from April 2004 to December 2008. Julie then worked as the Chief Executive of the FPA from January 2008 to October 2012. Following this, they served as the Vice Chair of Shelter UK from July 2011 to November 2016. Julie Bentley then became the Chief Executive of Girlguiding from November 2012 to June 2018. Julie went on to be the CEO of Action for Children from July 2018 to March 2020. Currently, they hold the role of Chief Executive Officer at Samaritans, starting from November 2020. Additionally, Julie Bentley served as a Trustee at NCVO from 2017 to November 2022.

Julie Bentley obtained a Masters in Business Administration from The Open University from 1999 to 2002. Prior to that, they attended Plume Comprehensive Maldon Essex, although their degree and field of study during that time are not specified.
