Susan Anderson OBE has extensive experience in governance, compliance, and public policy, currently serving as a Listener and Deputy Director for Governance and Compliance at Samaritans since January 2013. Additionally, Susan has been a Gateway Assessor at Citizens Advice since June 2014 and previously volunteered at Contact the Elderly until May 2022. A member of the school governance community, Susan chaired the Governing Body at Worsley Bridge School from May 1995 to December 2015. From February 1996 to October 2014, Susan held a directorial role at Camden Park Estate Ltd and contributed to ACAS as a Council Member between May 2007 and March 2014, focusing on improving employment relations. As a Low Pay Commissioner from April 2007 to March 2014, Susan advised the government on the National Minimum Wage, relying on extensive research and consultations. Earlier roles included directing Public Services and Skills at CBI and leading Human Resources Policy. Susan holds an MSc in Social Policy and Planning from The London School of Economics and a BA in English from Loughborough University.
