Amitabh Menon

Amitabh Menon is a Senior Principal Engineer at SambaNova Systems since November 2018, with extensive experience in the field of engineering. Prior to this, Amitabh held the position of Principal Engineer at Qualcomm from May 2011 to November 2018, specializing in SoC architecture and performance modeling for WLAN systems. Amitabh also worked at Huawei as a Principal Engineer focused on DSP processor architecture for wireless baseband processing from October 2010 to April 2011. Between August 2006 and October 2010, Amitabh was a Senior CPU Design Engineer/Architect at Texas Instruments, where contributions included co-architecting a programmable coprocessor design and developing a cycle-accurate CPU simulator. Amitabh's long tenure at Texas Instruments, from 1995 to 2006, included roles ranging from SoC and CPU Architect to Senior Design Engineer/Design Manager, with significant contributions to audio DSP SoCs and control DSPs. Amitabh holds an MS in Computer Engineering (VLSI CAD) from the Indian Institute of Science and a BTech in Computer Engineering from the Manipal Institute of Technology.
