Changran Hu

Changran Hu is a Senior Engineering Manager at SambaNova Systems, leading the development of Enterprise Grade Foundation Models on in-house hardware. With a background as Engineering Manager in Applied AI, Changran drives the creation of next-gen LLM-powered tools that align with industrial business needs. As a Principal ML Engineer, Changran pioneered Enterprise Generative AI solutions and contributed to the development of the BLOOMChat-176B-v1 multilingual chat model. Additionally, Changran is active in several organizations, including serving as Co President of the Association of Chinese Entrepreneurs at Berkeley and being recognized as one of the AACYF Top 30 Under 30. With previous experience at Microsoft and as a co-founder of DeepMusic, Changran has a strong foundation in machine learning applications, earning several awards and accolades during academic pursuits at Tsinghua University and UC Berkeley, which include a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering and a Master's degree in Information Management and Systems.
