Daesuk Jung

Daesuk Jung is a seasoned Senior Principal Engineer currently at SambaNova Systems since May 2018, specializing in physical design from block to chip level and IO cluster physical design. Prior experience includes a Staff Engineer role at Cavium Inc, focusing on physical design for IO clusters, and a significant tenure at Oracle from February 2010 to October 2017, where Daesuk led various physical design projects, including the Execution Cluster and DAX Cluster designs at advanced technology nodes. Additionally, Daesuk worked at Sun Microsystems on SPARC Core designs and at Alpha Processor Inc, contributing to the physical design of the ALPHA CPU. Daesuk holds both a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Yonsei University.
