Lakshmi Narasimhan Seshan

Lakshmi Narasimhan Seshan is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in distributed systems and networking. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Engineer at SambaNova Systems since October 2023, Lakshmi leads the Runtime Team in Bangalore, focusing on hardware/software co-design and AI transport technologies. Previous roles include Tech Lead at Cisco, where responsibilities involved developing an observability solution for Kubernetes, and MTS at Pensando Systems, where Lakshmi contributed to a Distributed Firewall and controller configurations. Earlier experience includes significant positions at Insieme Networks, Extreme Networks, Juniper Networks, and Force10 Networks, spanning various engineering responsibilities related to networking protocols and systems design. Lakshmi holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from North Carolina State University and completed non-degree coursework in Distributed Systems at Stanford University.
