Yun du

Yun Du is an accomplished engineering manager with extensive experience in AI chip design and model deployment at SambaNova Systems since November 2018. Previously, Yun served as a staff engineer at Alibaba Group, focusing on the design initiative and implementation of the in-house AI chip Hanguang800 from November 2017 to November 2018. Earlier career at Oracle involved leading the physical design and optimization for various units in the next generation SPARC core, from July 2011 to November 2017. Yun holds a master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a bachelor's degree from Nankai University, complementing foundational studies at Tsinghua University.
