Sara Shoar

Sara Shoar, MPH, currently serves as a Consultant - Strategic Information Technical Advisor for the Psychedelics Portfolio at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), focusing on strategic coordination and data-driven initiatives involving psychedelics. Previous experience includes roles at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services as a Technical Writer, and as a Strategist at NextMed Health, facilitating community building and outreach for healthcare innovation. Additionally, Sara has served as a Principal Investigator at the USC Institute for Addiction Science, a Research Analyst Intern at the Neurology Centre of Toronto, and a Research Project Manager at the USC Roski Eye Institute, along with various community management and wellness program roles. Educational credentials include a Master of Public Health from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from San Diego State University, graduating summa cum laude.
