Roman Kakorin

Roman Kakorin is an experienced product tech lead and backend engineer with a strong background in designing and developing banking solutions. Currently serving as Product Tech Lead at Самокат since March 2022, Roman previously held positions as a Backend Engineer at Buyk and PayApp, where responsibilities included support and development of banking solutions, integrations with payment gateways, and ensuring PCI DSS Compliance. Roman has worked extensively with various technologies including Ruby/RoR, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, and Elixir, and has experience with methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban. Prior to their engineering roles, Roman contributed to architecture design and code reviews at Mokka - Revo Technologies and Potok.Digital, showcasing a deep understanding of backend systems and technical leadership. Roman holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the State University of Nizhni Novgorod named after N.I. Lobachevsky.
