Philip Jagd has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Philip started their career as a Lieutenant in the Royal Danish Lifeguards in 1999. Philip then worked as a Student Assistant at the Ministry of Finance from 2001 to 2003, followed by a role as Junior Analyst at the Danish Ministry of Finance from 2002 to 2003. In 2004, they joined Nordea Liv & Pension, Danmark as an Investment & Risk Analyst until 2007. At Nordea Life & Pensions, they held the positions of Market Risk Analyst from 2007 to 2009 and Head of Alternative Investments from 2009 to 2011. Philip then moved to Nordea Bank Danmark A/S as Chief ALM Manager, responsible for managing strategic and tactical ALM risks of the bank's Defined Benefit pension obligations from 2011 to 2015. From 2015 to 2017, they worked at Nordea as a Senior Strategist in Wealth Management and later as the Chief Investment Strategist, where they provided investment advice to private clients and was involved in media communication. Currently, Philip Jagd is the Head of Equities at Sampension, a position they have held since 2018.

Philip Jagd completed their MSc in Economics at the University of Copenhagen from 2000 to 2006. Philip also pursued an MSc in Finance & Economics with a specialization in Asset Allocation at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 2003 to 2004. Prior to their university education, they attended Øregårds Gymnasium, although the specific dates and degree obtained are unknown.
