Derrick Hensel

Derrick Hensel has extensive experience in the construction industry, currently serving as the Marketing Director and Virtual Design & Construction Coordinator at Sampson Construction Co., Inc. since January 2009. In the role of VDC Coordinator, Derrick supports projects from preconstruction through completion using advanced software to address constructability issues collaboratively with various trades. Previous experience includes an internship where Derrick handled subcontractor solicitation, estimating, scheduling, and project closeout support. Prior to joining Sampson Construction, Derrick worked as a Sales Associate at The Home Depot and as a Brand Representative at Abercrombie & Fitch. Derrick holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Construction Management from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, earned between 2005 and 2011.
