Kara Kazazean has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies. Kara started their career as an Industry Analyst at Radiant Systems from June 2001 to May 2003. Kara then joined RaceTrac Petroleum as the Director of Payment Systems from May 2003 to July 2011. In this role, they were responsible for managing payment processing agreements, maintaining relationships with processors/acquirers, and overseeing accounting functions and new projects. Kara then moved on to Walmart, where they held various roles from June 2011 to October 2022. Kara started as the Director of Payment Services, responsible for Walmart's global closed loop gift card program. Kara then became the Senior Director of Payment Services, where they oversaw credit and debit card acceptance at Walmart and Sam's Club locations. Finally, they held the position of Senior Director of Financial Services, US Finance, managing financial services at Walmart until September 2022. Currently, they are serving as the Vice President of Financial Services at Sam's Club, starting in October 2022.
Kara Kazazean completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Industrial Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 1996 to 2001. Kara also earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Emory University in 2010-2011 and another M.B.A. from the University of Arkansas in 2012-2014. In addition to their degrees, Kara has obtained various certifications related to communication, leadership, diversity, and inclusive conversations from LinkedIn and the Merchant Advisory Group.
