Andrew Ackermann

Andrew Ackermann has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Currently, they are serving as the Vice President of Product Design at Samsara since February 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Director of Product Design at Samsara from August 2021 to February 2023. Before joining Samsara, Andrew had an extensive tenure at Google, where they held various positions. Andrew was the Design Manager for Local Business experiences across Google Maps and Search from November 2016 to April 2019. In this role, they managed a team of designers and contributed to numerous product launches. Prior to that, they served as the Creative Director at Google's Creative Lab, where they led projects combining product design, branding, and marketing. Andrew also worked at AREA 17 as the Executive Creative Director, Partner, Creative Director, Director of Production, and Producer from 2007 to 2012. Andrew was a Partner at Krrb and Slash from 2011 to 2012. In addition, they were an Instructor at Parsons School of Design in 2010. Before that, they were involved in freelance graphic design and web design as the owner of their own business from 2003 to 2008. Andrew also gained experience at R/GA as an Associate Producer, Helicopter LLC as a Production Coordinator, and Melcher Media as an Editorial Assistant.

From 2000 to 2004, Andrew Ackermann attended New York University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree. During their time there, they focused on the field of study of British and English Literature.
