Brian Lawrence

Brian Lawrence's work experience begins in 2001 when they worked as a Sales Specialist at Sears, consistently exceeding sales goals. Brian left this role in 2007. In 2002, they briefly worked as a Java Development Intern at Circuit City Stores, where they designed and implemented Java-based solutions.

From 2008 to 2010, Brian worked at Cloud Managed Services Group, Inc as a Solution Engineer/Business Development Manager.

In 2009, they joined Spare Time, Inc. as the General Manager of Popkin Tavern, and held this position until 2014.

In 2015, Brian became the General Manager of Atlas Brewing Company at Spare Time, Inc, and remained in this role until 2016.

Brian then joined Smith & Wollensky Restaurant Group as a Manager in 2016, leaving in 2017.

In 2017, they joined NowSecure, starting as a Solutions Engineer and later becoming a Solutions Engineer Manager. Brian held this position until 2020.

From 2020 to 2021, Brian served as the Director of Solution Engineering at NowSecure. In 2021, they became the Director of Technical Product Management and held this position until 2023.

Currently, Brian is the Senior Manager of Sales Engineering at Samsara since 2023. Samsara is a company that pioneers the Connected Operations Cloud, providing IoT data for actionable insights to improve operations.

Brian Lawrence attended Virginia Commonwealth University from 2002 to 2007, where they pursued a field of study in Economics. Brian did not obtain a specific degree during this time. In August 2019, Brian obtained certifications as a Certified DevSecOps Engineer from DevOpsInstitute and as a Certified Jenkins Engineer from CloudBees.
