Paul has 30 years of senior experience and an outstanding track record in venture capital and private equity business building, performance turn-around, equity and debt raising, driving transformational change at board level and delivering superior returns across a diverse range of industries in rapidly growing enterprises. As one of the earliest participants in the developing Venture Capital and Private Equity market in Australia, he spent 12 years with the leader in early-stage investments, AMIL (subsequently renamed Champ Private Equity). He was the lead executive on 17 investments across diverse industries achieving a realised top quartile returns for investors. In 1998 he was appointed CEO of AMWIN, a venture capital partnership between Australia Mezzanine Investments and the Walden International Investment Group (Asian VC investment fund with over $2 billion under management). AMWIN was a $42m IIF licence recipient rated by Preqin as the best performing venture capital fund of the decade primarily due to its investments in Seek and Looksmart.

As CEO and Director of one of Australia's largest complementary medicine contract manufacturers, he secured significant long-term revenue contracts with a value of more than $100m, ensuring the business's profitability. This included building a state of the art TGA licenced facility, raising $50m in equity and debt to restructure the balance sheet, eventually leading the business's sale to a major offshore investment group.

Paul has been a mentor of the Western Sydney University Global Leader Experience and an ongoing mentor of the "Birdlings" programme promoting female entrepreneurship at a Sydney private school.
