Jong Uk Kim

Jong Uk Kim has a diverse work experience in various prestigious companies. Jong Uk is currently working at Samsung Display as a Corporate Vice President. Prior to that, they were a Display Module Engineer at Meta. Jong Uk also worked at Apple as a Module Process Engineer, where they were responsible for iPhone and Apple Watch display module processes and cross-functional collaboration at headquarters. Before joining Apple, Jong Uk Kim worked at The Dow Chemical Company as a Research Scientist, focusing on polymer material application for semiconductor advanced packaging. Jong Uk also served as an Associate Research Scientist, working on dielectric and temporary wafer bonding material for advanced packaging. Jong Uk Kim began their professional journey as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz, conducting research in polymer and material science. Their early career includes a role as a Senior Engineer at Samsung Electronics, where they gained experience in high-volume manufacturing of flat panel displays and production engineering.

Jong Uk Kim holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Chemical Engineering from Seoul National University, which they obtained from 2000 to 2005. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Chemical Engineering from the same university, from 1998 to 2000. Their education journey began with a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Chemical Technology, also from Seoul National University, from 1994 to 1998. In addition to their formal education, Jong Uk Kim has obtained a certification in Python Essential Training from LinkedIn in November 2021.
