Kenichi Abe is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in image sensor and non-volatile memory design. Currently serving as a Staff Engineer at Samsung Electronics since July 2024, Kenichi focuses on R&D for image sensor devices and processes. Previously, Kenichi worked as a Senior Image Sensor Engineer at Huawei Technologies Japan K.K. from November 2018 to June 2024, specializing in CMOS image sensors. Prior experience includes roles as a Non-volatile Memory Designer at Toshiba Corporation from April 2011 to March 2017, and as a Specialist in Non-volatile Memory Design at Toshiba Memory Corporation from April 2017 to October 2018, where work was concentrated on the development of NAND flash memory technologies. Kenichi holds a Bachelor of Engineering, a Master of Engineering, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Tohoku University, completing studies between 2002 and 2011.
