Gernot K.

Gernot K. has extensive experience in project leadership and technical development within the battery systems sector, currently serving as Project Leader Product Development at Samsung SDI Battery Systems GmbH since February 2019. Responsibilities include managing multi-disciplinary teams for battery pack development projects, coordinating with various stakeholders, and leading problem-solving initiatives for serial battery projects. Gernot also has a background in advanced technology funding, focusing on automotive battery development and safety. Prior to this role, Gernot worked as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Technische Universität Graz, contributing to research on topological states of matter and teaching programming and numerical methods. Gernot holds a PhD equivalent and MSc in Technical Physics from Technische Universität Graz, along with a Bachelor of Science in the same field and additional studies in Physics through the Erasmus program at Université Joseph Fourier, Grenoble.
