Eric McKean

Eric McKean, CFA has extensive experience in the finance industry. Eric currently serves as the Managing Director at Samuel A. Ramirez & Co., Inc., a position they have held since June 2022. Prior to this, Eric worked at Stifel Financial Corp. from 2013 to 2022, holding various roles including Managing Director of Public Finance.

Before joining Stifel, Eric worked at First American Financial Corporation from 2010 to 2013, where they served as a Portfolio Manager and Associate Portfolio Manager. Eric was responsible for managing the municipal bond allocation for insurance and bank portfolios, as well as the high-grade corporate bond and preferred stock allocations of the portfolio.

Eric began their career at The First American Corporation in 2007, where they held the roles of Investment Analyst and Treasury Analyst. In these positions, they supported the Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, and Portfolio Manager with reporting, accounting, credit analysis, and security settlement. Eric also implemented an investment accounting software system and assisted in the placement and management of escrow and exchange fund proceeds.

Early in their career, Eric worked as an Intern at Cooliris in 2007. Throughout their career, Eric has demonstrated expertise in finance and investment management, particularly in public finance and portfolio management.

Eric McKean, CFA received their B.A. in Economics from Stanford University in the years 2003 to 2008. Prior to attending Stanford University, Eric McKean attended Brentwood School, but no specific degree or field of study information was provided.
