Nishat Azam

Nishat Azam's work experience includes serving as the Chief Compliance Officer at Samuel, Son & Co. since 2023. Prior to that, from 2020 to 2023, they held the position of Compliance Officer and Director, Contracts at Cypher LLC, where they provided guidance on compliance issues and assisted with management decisions and business development. From 2017 to 2023, Nishat worked as a Managing Director at ZMS Consulting, Inc., providing project guidance and legal services to various clients. Before that, they worked as an Attorney at Randolph Law from 2014 to 2017, where they specialized in federal government contracting. Nishat also has experience as the Managing Partner of The Azam Law Firm, PLLC from 2009 to 2014, where they established a successful debt relief practice. Nishat served as General Counsel at Enhanced Service Solutions, Inc. from 2007 to 2011, handling all legal matters for the company. Additionally, Nishat gained experience through an internship at Fox Mandal Little, where they assisted partners with research on cross-border investments and trade issues in the Indian legal system.

Nishat Azam has a strong educational background in law and political science. Nishat obtained their Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the Barry University - Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law in 2006. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of South Florida in 2003.

In 2011, Nishat Azam pursued further studies at the Stetson University College of Law, where they obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) degree with a focus on International Trade.

Nishat Azam also holds several certifications in their field. In 2007, they obtained their Florida Bar License from The Florida Bar. Subsequently, in 2014, they obtained their DC Bar License from the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Greater Washington DC Area. Later, in 2016, they acquired their Virginia Bar License from the Virginia State Bar.

Additionally, Nishat Azam holds the certification of a Registered Practitioner CMMC AB from the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Accreditation Body (CMMC AB), which they obtained in 2021.
