Elena Wells

Elena Wells has extensive experience in event planning, marketing, and management. Elena has served in various roles and positions throughout their career. Notable work experiences include their time with the San Antonio Local Organizing Committee, where they worked as the Executive Director and Managing Director, overseeing the planning and execution of hosting obligations for the 2018 NCAA Final Four. At San Antonio Sports, they worked as the Vice President of Event Development, Vice President of Bids and Events, and Director of Events, where they led event planning teams and managed relationships with business partners and stakeholders. Elena also worked at Pearl Brewery as the Manager of Venue Operations and Management Consultant, where they led the operations and client services for private/special events. Elena also has experience in marketing and promotion, having served as the Marketing Brand Manager at the San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau and as a Marketing Consultant at Hillje Music Center. Throughout their career, Elena has demonstrated skills in strategic planning, budget management, negotiations, and team leadership.

Elena Wells obtained a Project Management Professional certification from the Institute for Veterans and Military Families - IVMF in the year 2020. Prior to that, they attended The University of Texas at San Antonio from 2000 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a specialization in Marketing. Additionally, Elena Wells achieved the Leadership San Antonio Class 44 certification from The San Antonio Chamber of Commerce in October 2019, and The Board Game certification from SA2020 in September 2019.
