Substitute Cellist at San Antonio Symphony

Rylie Harrod is an accomplished cellist and educator with extensive experience in both performance and teaching. As the Business Owner and Cello Teacher at Harrod-Corral String Studio since January 2018, Rylie provides private cello lessons utilizing traditional and Suzuki methods for students ranging from age 4 to advanced levels. Rylie's performance credentials include serving as Principal Cellist and previously Associate Principal Cellist for Waco Symphony Orchestra, as well as a Substitute Cellist for the San Antonio Symphony. Rylie holds various coaching roles with CHAMPS, Austin Chamber Music Center, and the Austin Independent School District, while also contributing to the University of Texas String Project as Office Manager and Cello Faculty. Educational achievements include a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Cello Performance from the University of Texas at Austin, a Master of Music from Arizona State University, and a Bachelor of Music from the Royal Academy of Music. Rylie's multifaceted involvement in music encompasses both teaching and concert production management, demonstrating a strong commitment to the development of musicians.
