Dante Fenolio

Vice President, Center For Conservation And Research at San Antonio Zoo

Dante Fenolio, MS, Ph.D., serves as the Vice President of the Center for Conservation and Research at the San Antonio Zoo, focusing on various conservation projects involving amphibians and invertebrates across North America and China. In addition, Dante holds the position of Director of Research at the Amazon Conservatory for Tropical Studies in Peru, conducting studies on treetop amphibians and reptiles. As a Visiting Scholar at Trinity University and a primary investigator for Project Selva, efforts are made to foster sustainable craft revenue streams among indigenous Peruvians. With significant experience in deep-pelagic research and cave biodiversity, Dante has contributed to numerous conservation initiatives and has an extensive background in wildlife photography. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Biology with a focus on amphibian conservation from the University of Miami.
