Dr. Gwendolyn Dowdy-Rodgers

Dr. Gwendolyn Dowdy-Rodgers currently serves as a Governing Board Member for the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools, a position held since December 2022. With extensive experience in community development, Dr. Dowdy-Rodgers has been a Community Development Specialist for EMQ FamiliesFirst since November 2010 and is the Founder of the Young Women's Empowerment Foundation since April 2004. Previously, Dr. Dowdy-Rodgers contributed to the San Bernardino City Unified School District as a Governing Board member from December 2014 to December 2022. Academically, Dr. Dowdy-Rodgers earned a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Liberty University (2019-2021), a Master of Arts in Human Resources Management from the University of Phoenix (2004-2008), a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Sciences from California Baptist University (1999-2003), and an Associate of Arts in Social Sciences from San Bernardino Valley College (1990-1995).
