San Carlos School District
Kiyomi Arai is the Founder and Director of Coastal Cove Learning, where responsibilities include coordination with state agencies, community partnerships, customer relations, program growth, and summer program logistics since January 2023. A dedicated educator, Kiyomi has been a 3rd Grade Teacher at San Carlos School District since June 2022 and previously served in the same role within Pacifica School District for 14 years. Kiyomi's teaching experience also includes a position as a Rising Kinder Teacher at The Big Lift and as a 2nd/3rd Grade Teacher at Aurora School. An extensive educational background includes multiple degrees from San Francisco State University, a Teaching Credential from the University of San Francisco, and an Associate of Arts from Cañada College. Kiyomi's expertise encompasses curriculum development, differentiated instruction, and various educational leadership roles.
