Rich Martindell is a seasoned aviation professional with extensive experience in flight instruction, safety consulting, and aviation management. Currently serving as a Multiengine, Instrument Flight Instructor at Wild Blue Yonder since 2000, Rich also consults on aircraft accident investigations and analysis. Additionally, Rich contributes to the City of San Diego's Airports Advisory Committee, providing expertise in aviation safety. Rich's volunteer work includes serving as a Safety Team Lead Representative for the FAA and as a Lead Instructor at the San Diego Air and Space Museum. Previous roles include positions as a Pilot at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems and Vice President of Course Content and Experience at King Schools, along with a distinguished military career in the United States Air Force as an F-15 test pilot and instructor. Rich holds a Bachelor’s degree in Transportation & Public Utilities from the University of Arizona, a certificate in Aircraft Accident Investigation & Safety Program Management from the University of Southern California, and an MBA in Management from Golden Gate University.
