James Binley

James Binley is currently a Professor at SAN DIEGO BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE, with previous experience as an Assistant Professor at Torrey Pines Institute for Molecular Studies. Before that, they worked as a Staff Scientist at Scripps Research and as an Instructor at Joan & Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University. Their early research on HIV spike mutations has been highly influential in vaccine design and structure studies. James Binley started their career as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center after completing a Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular Immunology from Scripps Research. They also hold a Bachelor's degree in Genetics from The University of Sheffield.
