Takanori Otomo

Takanori Otomo is an accomplished biomedical researcher currently serving as an Associate Professor at the San Diego Biomedical Research Institute since January 2022. With a long-standing affiliation with Scripps Research since October 2007, Takanori has held various academic positions, including Adjunct Associate Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor. Prior experience includes postdoctoral research at UT Southwestern Medical Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Takanori Otomo earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Bioscience and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Osaka University, completing the PhD in 2001 and the BS in 1996.
