Evan Ribbey

Evan Ribbey has a diverse range of work experience in the field of information technology. Evan is currently employed at San Diego County Credit Union as a Systems Administrator since October 2022. Prior to this, Evan worked at Balestreri Potocki & Holmes as a Network & Systems Administrator from February 2020 to April 2022. During their time there, they successfully managed the transition to remote work during the pandemic and implemented various security measures for the firm.

Before that, Evan held the position of Network Engineer at Charter Tech Services from February 2018 to September 2019. In this role, they provided on-site system administration for small and medium-sized businesses in San Diego County and trained and supported help desk technicians. Evan also performed maintenance and upgrades on various IT infrastructure components.

Evan's earlier experience includes working as an IT Helpdesk Technician at SpeySideIT from December 2017 to February 2018, where they provided remote and on-site support for businesses in San Diego County. Prior to that, they worked as a Computer Support Technician at Charter Tech Services from March 2016 to March 2017, gaining experience in system administration, network management, and enterprise wireless setup.

Outside of the IT field, Evan briefly worked as an Assistant Instructor at Academic Chess and as a Music Specialist at Boys & Girls Club of Vista.

Evan Ribbey earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Geographic Information Systems from the University of Washington, where they studied from 2011 to 2015. Additionally, Evan has obtained several certifications including Microsoft Certified Professional (obtained in July 2016), CompTIA Security+ (obtained in March 2017), and Cisco Certified Network Associate: Routing and Switching (CCNA) (obtained in September 2016). Most recently, Evan obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals and Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certifications from Microsoft in June 2022 and July 2022, respectively.
