Shannon Coulter

Director Of Research And Evaluation at San Diego County Office of Education

Shannon Coulter has a range of experience in education and research. Shannon began their career as an Alternative Education teacher at the Grossmont Union High School District in 1998, where they worked until 2006. Shannon then moved on to the University of Tennessee, where they served as an Instructor from 2006 to 2009. Following that, they worked as an Assistant Professor at Dalton State College from 2009 to 2010. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Research and Evaluation at the San Diego County Office of Education, a role they have held since September 2019. Additionally, they have served as the Lead Evaluation Coordinator at the same institution since June 2010.

Shannon Coulter obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Educational Psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, from 2006 to 2009. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga from 1991 to 1995.
