L. Clint Welch

L. Clint Welch, A.A.E., currently serves as the Director of Aviation Security and Public Safety at the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority, a position held since March 1998, following a tenure as Senior Manager of Aviation Security and Law Enforcement. In addition, Welch has been the Transportation (Aviation) Sector Chief for InfraGard San Diego since January 2018. Welch's military background includes serving as a Petty Officer First Class in the United States Navy from 2001 to 2019. Prior to current roles, Welch worked as Airport Operations Supervisor at the Port of San Diego and as Airport Operations Specialist for the City of Houston. Welch holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Management-Airways Science from Auburn University and a Master of Public Administration from National University.
