Josh Hoffman

VP, Real Estate Development at San Diego Housing Commission

Josh Hoffman oversees the San Diego Housing Commission’s (SDHC) ongoing efforts to acquire, create and preserve affordable housing.

In his past roles as a Senior Project Manager and Director of Real Estate, Mr. Hoffman led the renovations of Quality Inn and West Park Inn. The result created a pair of permanent supportive housing developments to serve those experiencing homelessness in the City of San Diego.

For more than a decade before joining SDHC, Mr. Hoffman worked at local architecture firms on a variety of award-winning senior, multifamily, affordable and student housing developments. He also previously served at SDHC in 2001 as a Project Intern.

Mr. Hoffman has a bachelor’s degree in urban studies and planning with a minor in literature from the University of California, San Diego, and a master’s degree in architecture from Newschool of Architecture and Design in San Diego.
