San Diego & Imperial SBDC Network

Here at the Small Business Development Center Network – for nearly two decades – we’ve been battling every day to keep San Diego and Imperial county businesses hiring instead of firing, as well as growing instead of closing. In 2023 we helped businesses have more than $1 Billion in economic impact in our region! How do we accomplish this? Our regional network provides a vast array of no- and low-cost support to entrepreneurs and small businesses through our four locations in Carlsbad (North San Diego), National City (South San Diego), the Linda Vista neighborhood of San Diego (University of San Diego), and El Centro (Imperial Valley). The SBDC network’s top priority is to empower small business creation and expansion to achieve job creation and retention, capital investments, and dynamic innovation that improves quality of life in the region. Our North San Diego County Center in Carlsbad is hosted by MiraCosta College; our South San Diego County Center in National City is hosted by Southwestern College; our Imperial Valley Center in El Centro is hosted by the Imperial Regional Alliance; and our newest center opened at the University of San Diego. Throughout the state and with over 1,000 centers nationwide, SBDC is the largest business assistance organization in the United States.
